We're excited to share that the Killalea Regional Park Precinct Plan is now live. Link here: Killalea Regional Park Precinct Plan

Working alongside NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service, we've developed a framework for the future of this much loved 250 hectare coastal park on Dharawal Country. Killalea Regional Park is renowned for its national surfing reserve, The Farm. The precinct plan addresses the challenge of accommodating high visitor numbers while preserving natural beauty, improving equitable access and educating all visitors on the cultural knowledge of its First Nations custodians.

At the heart of the plan is a new Visitors Pavilion, which brings together an Aboriginal cultural space, NPWS visitor information and park amenities, all wrapped with generous verandahs . Thoughtfully sited to ensure the pavilion is not visible from the surfing reserve but still has ocean views, the single-storey building opens onto open grassed areas providing facilities for large or small groups to gather. We've reimagined how all species move through the park, separating cars from pedestrians, cyclists and likely animal corridors to create safer, more enjoyable experiences for everyone.

The masterplan includes elements that support First Nations culture, regeneration of the landscape, community use, natural character, education, and accessibility and ensures Killalea remains a place that is wild and open, welcoming, resilient, and rich in experience.
